BAD BLOOD!!! hm, let me see. i’ll forget important episodes for sure, but what comes to mind rn: redux I&II (!!!), how the ghosts stole christmas, home, beyond the sea (SCULLAAAAAAAAY), pusher (where my love for vince gilligan began, therefore v important ep), syzygy (sure. fine. whatever. + because you’re the big macho man), clyde bruckman’s, triangle, humbug, arcadia (my ship going undercover is everything i want from a tv show tbh), x-cops and for some reason i’m v into roadrunners.
The script was only saying they’re wearing the most ridiculous matching outfits, we just took some real clothes from our old teenager years closets.
Happy Birthday Ginger Rogers!
(July 16, 1911-April 25, 1995)
In everything that I do I learn and try to put it to use. I have learned to go through life not into it. It`s like a boat. You must not let the water in or you`re sunk. Of course, I`ve made mistakes and I have had failures, but I do not dwell on them because people don`t care about garbage. When I make a mistake it`s like a bad leaf on a lettuce - I throw it out into the waste basket.
Happy Birthday Barbara Stanwyck!
(July 16, 1907-January 20, 1990)
When we were shooting Golden Boy, the stages were dingy, dirty, and poorly ventilated. And the film wasn’t as fast in those days as it is now which necessitated the use of more electrical equipment, which, in turn, created heat. So anyone working from 8:45 in the morning until 7:30 at night could find it to be an exhausting experience. But when we would wrap production, and the staff and the cast and the crew would head for fresh air and home, very often Barbara would say to me "Golden Boy, get your ass into that set dressing room because we’re going to run tomorrow’s work." For an extra half to three quarters of an hour we would rehearse. She wanted me to be good. So if anyone ever needed a term for courtesy and consideration, generosity, and above all, professionalism, they would only need two words. One: Barbara. And the other: Stanwyck.
